CORTEN OR WEATHERING STEEL

Corten, or weathering steel, has become a very popular material used by garden designers and can be seen in many award winning gardens at RHS flower shows. Its unique and attractive warm copper colours, ranging from the intense and bright rusty orange to a dark warm tone, compliment the garden perfectly. It can be used for bespoke structures, steps, retaining walls, cladding, edging and planters. The Angel of the North is made from corten.

It is made with alloys which oxidise to cause its surface to develop a stable self-protecting rust like appearance when exposed to weather. The insulating patina resists corrosion, requires no painting or weather-proofing, and doesn’t compromise structural strength. It outlasts mild steel by many years.

Memorial tree

Our ever popular memorial trees are fabricated from corten weathering steel. They are made to accommodate leaves for engraving in brushed gold, brushed silver and brushed copper.

Large Tree

3.2m high x 2.9m wide tree is an imposing feature and can accommodate 600 memorial leaves - prices from £12,300 plus VAT.

Medium Tree

2.3m high x 1.7m wide tree holds 330 leaves and is a perfect piece for a smaller scale space - prices from £3,200 plus VAT.

Small Tree

1.2m high x 0.9m wide tree holds 60 leaves and is suitable for your own garden or a small space. This is a perfect addition in memory of your own special people and pets which can be filled with personalised leaves for all of them. Prices from £1,175 plus VAT.

Leaves

Leaves are made and cut from brushed aluminium composite. Prices - £10 each plus VAT.

Installation

The trees are made to be fixed onto a concrete base - this is not included in the cost of the tree and would need to be pre-installed prior to delivery. Base specification will be provided on placing an order and delivery and installation will also be quoted at this time. The trees can be underplanted, making a beautiful addition to any memorial space or garden.
